The science

Aptitude isn't a bet on the future of work. It rests on decades of selection science, which keeps finding the same thing: the strongest predictor of real performance is how a person behaves in realistic, job-relevant situations — not what they score on a test.

Behaviour beats aptitude

The largest re-examination of decades of selection research (2022) found general aptitude and knowledge tests predict job performance far less than assumed. The top predictors are behavioural — how people actually perform in real situations.

Judgment carries unique signal

Situational-judgment research shows how people navigate realistic dilemmas predicts performance over and above intelligence, personality and experience — something no résumé captures.

Proactivity predicts most

The disposition to act before being told — to create rather than wait — predicts career success more strongly than any single "Big Five" trait. Exactly what credentials fail to measure.

Why measuring once fails

Capability is situational — a one-day assessment captures a moment, not a person.
